Color your kids!

Did you ever think of color as a way to boost your children's self-esteem and confidence? Probably not. And yet by dressing them in flattering colors you will make their natural beauty stand out. This will bring them more positive reactions from others, what will increase their self-esteem and assurance.
The first key to dress in flattering colors is to wear shades that have the same characteristics (depth, undertone, clarity) as your own natural coloring. The second one is to respect your own level of contrast. To keep things easy to understand, I will give you only a few basic guidelines about color characteristics.
All colors are more or less light or deep, warm or cool, and bright or muted. This is valid for your own coloring too, which is made of the colors of your skin, eyes and hair. When you are wearing colors that have the same characteristics as your own natural coloring, they are automatically in harmony with it and you project a more radiant and attractive image. When the colors you are wearing do not match your own natural coloring, attention is not drawn to you but to your clothing or to the colors themselves, and you look dull, tired or lacking in personality.

Mauvaises couleurs...

So let's try to identify your child's color characteristics to know what shades suit him.
Does your child have dark eyes and dark hair? He will look great in deep colors such as black, black-brown, navy, sunflower, bottle green, royal blue, teal, purple, eggplant, raspberry, burgundy, tomato red, mahogany, etc. and, worn as a small touch only, pure white.
If on the opposite your child has light skin, eyes and hair, light colors will enhance him more: pearl white, rose brown, gray blue, primrose, delicate green, emerald turquoise, light aqua, powder blue, heather, lilac, clover, coral, watermelon, etc.
Strawberry blond, red or auburn? Opt for yellow-, gold-, orange-red-based
warm colors: ivory, camel, brown, poppy, tomato red, coral, salmon, maize, pumpkin, lime, olive, aqua, teal, etc.
A beige or pink in tone skin, blue-gray eyes and ash brown or deep ash blond hair? Choose blue-, pink-, gray-based
cool colors: icy pink, charcoal, navy, emerald green, forest green, turquoise, cornflower, sapphire, purple, fuchsia, orchid, lemon, blue-red, etc.
A translucent skin, dark hair and jewel-like eyes? Head for
bright colors: pure white, black, navy, apple green, blue-green, turquoise, cornflower, purple, hot pink, flamingo, lemon, ruby, etc.
A soft and neutral coloring, neither light nor dark, with an opaque skin?
Muted colors will be the right ones: soft-white, taupe, gray-blue, forest green, steel blue, sea foam, teal, mauve, heather, burgundy, straw, salmon, watermelon, etc.
If you cannot decide between light and deep, between warm and cool, or between bright and muted, maybe your child is just in between. Color characteristics are continuums. For instance, sky blue is light and navy is deep but cornflower is medium.

Bonnes couleurs
